June 2019 Update [Pt.2]

The excitement continues in the second half of my June 2019 update, as it sees the launch of our first ever children's book, Bluetooth & the World Wide Web. Before I get started, I'd like to thank everyone who pre-ordered the book in any format and from any retailer - we're over the moon with its success so far and we couldn't have done it without all of you!

Radio Royal Interview

On Father's Day (UK, 16/06/2019) we were invited to chat with host Emma Truelove on Radio Royal, Bradford about Bluetooth & the World Wide Web. You can listen to the interview on Emma's podcast and check out our group photo below! Thanks for having us, Emma (we do share an awesome first name!).

Congrats to Bonnie, our winner!

We'd like to congratulate Bonnie (aged 7) as our first ever Bluetooth & the World Wide Web competition winner!

Centre of Excellence

In my May update, I announced that I'd decided to complete a Writing for Children Diploma with the Centre of Excellence, and I'm thrilled to say I passed Module Two this month with 97.33%!

Module One: 100%

Module Two: 97.33%

I'm looking forward to completing the rest of this diploma in my spare time, and will of course keep you updated with my grades and progress. Wish me luck for Module Three!

On 28/06/2019, we released the first edition of our brand new children's book, Bluetooth & the World Wide Web (co-written with my dad, Dave). We are so excited to finally share this story with you, and can't wait to hear your thoughts.

Bluetooth & the World Wide Web (2019)

THANK YOU 🌟 to everyone who has pre-ordered the book so far, and to those who have been sharing, tweeting, liking and supporting our launch!

A huge thank you to our amazing BETA readers: you guys are the best, and we are so grateful for your time and your help. We really did value your feedback, and we hope you're pleased with the way it turned out.

SCUTTLE BUGG is also now officially LIVE and available to access [here]—it's a fun, free social networking page for fans of the book, where you can win tons of awesome insect-themed prizes.

You can now grab your copy of the book in paperback or e-book via your favourite retailer, including Amazon, Waterstones, Barnes & Noble and more... 🐞

St Paul's Garden Party

Thank you to everyone who came to visit Pamela A. Pedder at her very first author event, three days before the book's official release! On 29/06/2019, Pamela and I were at the St Paul's church event in Shipley, West Yorkshire, where 25% of all her sales was donated at the end of the day to help fix the church's roof, and to their chosen charity for the day. .

On behalf of Pamela and I, can I just say what a beautiful day it was (it was super hot—makes a nice change for England!!) and how much we enjoyed the event. So much hard work went into it, and we met some wonderful people.

We really hope you enjoy reading your early copy of Moving Day!

That's it for this month's updates, but be sure to catch up next month for Moving Day's release, plus the start of our WHSmith book signing tour! Thanks for reading!
